Manchester Central by-election

Before the Manchester Central by-election in November, our candidate Lucy Powell and the Manchester Labour team are looking for volunteers to get involved with the campaign.

For MYL members, it can be an opportunity to meet new people and gain a lot of experience and it couldn’t be easier to do. Below is a message from Lucy Powell and how to contact the campaign.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you all for your continuing support. The campaign is really starting to build momentum and we are getting into a good rhythm.

Many of you have already been putting in a lot of work and it is hugely appreciated and actually quite humbling.

However, I know that many more of you will be interested in helping out in the coming months and your help will be especially important now as many hardworking Councillors and activists take time out to recharge over the summer.

I’m currently looking to set up a constituency wide campaign team of volunteers to join me on campaign days across the constituency and help out in different wards on a weekly basis. If you’re interested in becoming part of my team and are willing and able to get stuck in and lend a hand throughout wards across the constituency then please get in touch.

Send your details to garry.bridges@live.co.uk and we will make sure that you’re kept up to date as well as helping with travel plans where possible. And don’t worry if you’re not an experienced campaigner, there will plenty of people to help and becoming part of a team like this will be a great way to get started. Please pass the message on to anyone who might want to be part of the team. It would be great to see a strong team spreading my message, listening to people’s problems and making sure they know I want to fight for Manchester against this Tory-Lib Dem government.

With very many thanks,

Lucy
